When we brought these in, we were concerned that people may try and sit on them and that they may not be able to hold the weight because these come flat (about 5"). After assembling them, which takes all of 1 minute, we got 3 heavy guys to stand on it. It didn't budge. That's even without anything inside. So I can assure you that these will last.
We chose to bring these in made out of synthetic leather rather than comparable bonded leather. The reason is that synthetics actually last longer and look better. If you didn't know any better, you wouldn't know that these are synthetic leather.
