(More customer reviews)The tables themselves arrived in great condition, "looked" exactly as advertised. Emphasis on "looked". They're not oak, they're pressboard with oak veneer. Which is fine, but I would have rather known that going in. Assembly was easy, but the table tops don't have pre-drilled holes for attaching to the legs, so be prepared for a little bit of muscle work. But two girls of average strength managed to assemble this set, so it's nothing too hard if you don't mind putting some effort into it. Otherwise, I would recommend pre-drilling the holes a little. The metal is some sort of light gauge steel painted black, but that's pretty par for course with furniture these days. In all, a satisfactory purchase. It was bought as a gift for friends about a month ago, and they love the set, and it is holding up great so far.
